First Day in Shanghai!!!

Our glamorous hotel: The Hotel Carolina
It was actually nice, it just had this really creepy indoor faux courtyard.

AH! So many people! This will continue to be a trend throughout the whole trip...

Nanjing Road

Apparently this is a landmark...so I took a picture of it

So many scooters/motorcycles

Kind of reminiscent of Vietnam

Walking down Nanjing Road

SHANGHAI!

We're pretty sure that this building collects energy from lightening

Look at all these people

Elisam and Brendi

View from HOK Shanghai offices

Nanjing at night!

We walked this way because it was physically impossible to get a cab at rush hour.

Every building in the city has crazy lights for nighttime.

Again, look at all those people!

Shanghai Skyline!

Area around the Bund Tunnel

Pearl Tower

We thought we were never going to find the rest of our group. Then...

and the group is reunited!!! (Obviously Skim is psyched about it)

This one is slightly better.

Brendi!

June and me (and some random lady)

We decided to take this photo after I took about 25 with some Chinese family
(children, parents, grandparents, and all of the arrangements possible)

So, I needed to take pictures with my own Asians for good measure.

What a good looking group!

and a crazy looking group!

The best architectural diagram we saw on the trip.

On our way down to the Bund Tunnel!!!

We weren't quite sure what to expect...

...and this is what we got.

It looks like something out of a bad sci-fi movie.

Can you believe we actually paid for this?!

Pearl Tower up close and personal.

Elevated walkway

Looking down from that elevated walkway onto this giant roundabout

Proof I was there! (I'm in the lower right corner, in black)

"Tree" lined street

Louis! So glamorous!

World Financial Center Building and International Financial Center Building

IFC Building

World Financial Center
aka Bottle Opener

"Bottle Opener" from the side

Inside the Bottle Opener I spotted this woman wearing a...
PANDA SWEATER!

Hilarious model as we waited for the elevator

Walking into the elevator. Again, it looks like something from a sci-fi movie

Inside the elevator

Looking down on Shanghai from the tallest observatory floor in the world.

The observatory deck had glass floors!

Elisa suspended out over Shanghai

Jumi being cute

Brendi, testing the strength of the glass.

We decided to walk down 3 flights...Here are the first few steps.
