HK Update

July and August constitute the rainy season in Hong Kong. I was lucky enough to witness the before, during and after effects on an offshore typhoon during my trip. This was the day before the really bad rain, so it was only mildly bad rain. I strolled through the outdoor markets in Wan Chai (the part of the city Joanne lives in), went to the IFC shopping center and did some DEA nerding out, and ended the day in Tsim Sha Tsui.

I still cannot get over all of the stuff...everywhere...all the time

I saw the window of this hobby shop and thought of Johnny...

so I took a picture of the store's name in case I wanted to go back in the future.
Little good that did me...when I decided to go back a week later the photo was on my computer at Joanne's house so I went around asking people how to get to the Fat Ho Hobby Shop...
needless to say, no one knew what I was talking about.

DEA nerding out starts here...

Look at those insane clouds. The typhoon was on its way.

GORGEOUS!

I took about 900 pictures of the skyline (both day and night)

Beer was served in these bowls...
the outside said "the fighting bowl"
and the inside said "win"
love it.

Dai Pai Dong food...so delicious....except for the intestine
