Halong Bay

Halong Bay ("Descending Dragon Bay") has about 2,000 limestone islands. It is literally one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

Sluks and Shin in their gear, ready for the day.

The dock

Our boat!

Corn and Shin being cute

A lady selling fruit from a neighboring boat

AH! The monster that lives in Halong Bay!

Southeast Asia has the most beautiful skies!

Those railings are just for show, they serve no purpose.
If I wanted to push Shin in it would be so easy...

Too bad I'm upstairs. This would have been my opportunity to make it look like an accident.

Getting closer...

mmm pineapple juice

Corn!

Proof that I was there!

Uh oh...careful Sluks

Jack being her usual crazy self. Surprisingly she isn't sleeping here though.

One of the fruit selling boats

They pull right up next to the ships with tourists...

and crazy people buy things from them!

Baby bananas

Finally there!

We docked at one of the small floating fishing villages

Kayaking time!

This is where one of the James Bond movies was filmed!

Awesome kayaking partner

Sluks and Corn working hard

Uki is always posing for photos - what a natural model.

These are the "fighting chicken" rocks
Although for a long time we thought Bang (our tour guide) was saying the farting chicken rocks.

We almost had a collision. I think the driver was sleeping.

Awesome-ness. Corn is jealous.

Group shot!

This little French Vietnamese boy soon became our new best friend ("Enrique").
(mainly because he and Uki had a bromance)

He kept telling Uki to "Get it in the water!!!"

We walked through a cave. It's obviously very touristy.

Check out the colored lights

Heaven

Money!
